Dom VA7CRO My gutter antenna that I used to communicate on 80 meters. It seems to work well as I was able to check-in on both the NARA and BCPSN nets. What I did here was to connect the center portion of the cable to the gutter using an alligator clip. I then connected that cable to another with a coupler which is then placed on a piece of metal that acts as an interface to the ground. The ground is made of concrete but with rebar as shown in the second photo. I used a metal plate and an aluminum lid from a cookie box. I then connected the other end of the cable to an antenna tuner which is then connected to my Yaesu 857D.
